MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)— Edwardo Eugene Bigelow Junior faces a murder charge without bond after 64-year-old Robert Pleasant died from his injuries.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting happened around 8 a.m. on April 7 at the Sunoco on 2691 Log Cabin Drive after an altercation broke out inside the store.
When deputies arrived, they found Pleasant suffering from a gun shot wound. Paramedics took him to Atrium Health Navicent for treatment and reported he was in stable condition.
That same morning, at 8:18 a.m., deputies arrested 25-year-old Edwardo Eugene Bigelow Junior. The sheriff’s office says he was taken to the Investigations Headquarters before being transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
Initially, Bigelow was charged with aggravated assault and denied bond. A murder charge is now added after medical staff reported that Pleasant died from his injuries on April 15. Bigelow has also been charged with probation violation.
